Brian D. Rutledge, principal and manager of Field Creek Capital, began his corporate career with Manufacturers Hanover (now JP Morgan Chase). After completing the bank’s training program, he was part of the bank’s major corporate lending area, subsequently joining the bank’s special situations group, working on distressed corporate credits and restructurings. He was responsible for driving the restructurings of a diverse portfolio of credits in both the major corporate and middle market areas. From there he went to the trading side of the business, primarily with the distressed trading desks of Lazard Freres and Banc of America Securities, finishing with CRT Capital. Brian is a 1985 graduate of Williams College where he played on the baseball and ice hockey teams.
